Happy Martin Luther King Day everyone! It seems to me every moment of kindness and care, however small, is a realization of his beautiful dream. Last Friday, Lisa (my wife), Lara (my daughter), and I got to help some friends serve people at a soup kitchen type deal. It blew my mind how much joy simply giving these struggling/hungry folks an extra cookie or two brought. The three of us worked the milk and cookies station, and every time we gave “extras” their face would light up like a Christmas tree. It was fabulous! It’s SO easy to make someone’s day! So here’s to your and my kindness being someone else’s brightness!
