Don’t fight to be right, “fight” to spread joy!

You know how kids are often super stoked for no particular reason? Like she or he is simply high on life? It’s as if joy isn’t the result of an experience or action, but is an inborn energy we can allow to bubble up and burst forth at any time. Truth be told, I’m convinced it is! That’s why a simple word or small act of kindness can make someone’s day. Joy is like kindling in our spirits, simply waiting for a spark of goodness to set it ablaze.

Health and wellness expert, and cancer survivor, Kris Carr says she’s a joy warrior, who purposefully practices staying connected to this fuel, especially when things seem grim. For TEN PLUS years she’s THRIVED with stage IV cancer! Cancer aside, doesn’t being a Joy Warrior sound fabulous? I know I’m in, and more would literally be merrier! What, then, are a Joy Warrior’s weapons for cultivating bliss within themselves and others?

Practicing gratitude anywhere and everywhere.

Spreading kindness.

Taking time to savor beautiful sights, lovely experiences, and meaningful moments, like a yummy meal.

Celebrating others and yourself whenever possible!

Maintaining a steady “diet” of positivity, unity, growth, and love.

Moving your body in ways that speak to you.

Taking time to soak in nature’s blessings.
